Heart of Gold International Film Festival accepts submissions of short films 30 minutes and under, of all film types including narrative, animation, documentary, family, foreign language etc, from anywhere in the world.
Deadlines & Fees for Entries
Earlybird Deadline: 30 September 2010 – $25.00
Regular Deadline: 31 October 2010 – $30.00
Late Deadline: 11 November 2010 – $40.00
Extended Deadline: 18 November 2010 – $50.00
Mission & Objective
Heart of Gold International Film Festival screens short films that are entertaining, funny, thought-provoking, uplifting and present a positive view of the world and humanity.
Heart of Gold International Film Festival has just held its fourth and most successful festival yet, with filmmakers attending from Australia and around the world. Current Festival Director Malcolm Blaylock continues in the role for 2011, and the Festival is set to become one of Australia’s most dynamic and exciting film events. The March 2011 Festival will feature an extensive short film program and a range of special screenings and film presentations.
There will also be workshops, seminars and Filmmakers Present sessions and the successful children’s program will be expanded. The Festival runs in Gympie, a historic gold-mining town nestled in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The prize for the Best Short Film is AUD$5,000.
