Thank you so much for the warmest welcome to Gympie

and for making my time there such a wonderful experience. Heart of Gold does all it sets out to do, showing exceptional films which have real emotional resonance in a friendly setting.

I really enjoyed the programmes I saw, excellent and diverse films that I won’t forget and wouldn’t have caught anywhere else, like most others who attended.  It was also the best organized and attended film festival i have ever been to by far, I was really impressed. You are all so dedicated to bringing the work to a wider audience, in the best possible way, it’s truly inspirational.

I was so pleased our film could be part of such a special festival, and the other filmmakers I met from from across the globe felt exactly the same.

Thank you so much for all of the lovely films I saw, all the great people I met because of your festival, and the honour of being part of it.

Dear Toni and Your Delightful Heart of Gold Team,

My husband and I had such a marvelous time at this year Heart of Gold.  You made us feel like family from the moment we stepped a little bleary-eyed into the Civic Center after our flight from the United States.  This was our first visit to Australia and you couldn’t have made it more enjoyable.  I especially appreciate you making sure I had time to speak to the audience and take questions after our screening.  We also were struck by the quality of the films we had a chance to see, so I feel like Courthouse Girls of Farmland was in really good company.  It was a real thrill for all of us connected to the film to be part of your event and to have this international exposure no pun intended.  And we were also impressed by the support you received from the local community.  That’s a real testament to the quality of your event and what you offer the people who live there.

It is truly great privilege  to be able to have had our film screened with the quality international films that were screened at Heart of Gold this year.

I received some great feed back from audience members and the opportunity to present our film and discuss it with the audience was an excellent innovation this year.
