Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival is an international arts festival that is grounded in the community. Right here in the Gympie region.
In 2025 we will explore how Heart of Gold can spill over, be more than a three day Festival - as amazing as it is - and become the foundation for a celebration of arts and cultural expressions in our region.
Celebrating not only links to our history and also aspirations for the future and the integrity of the human spirit.

A fresh vision for 2025:
Since 2006, Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival has been a successful celebration showcasing a diverse range of heartwarming and thought-provoking short films right here in Gympie.
In 2025 we are expanding to a precinct based event delivery, activating the Gympie Cinema as the host of our International Short Film Festival and adding Gympie Music Hall as entertainment venue, as well as working with Gympie Regional Gallery, ART POST Contemporary Gallery, Perseverance Street Theatre Company, Qube226 and others to create a truly immersive creative experience for the community in the Gympie CBD.
